How often do I change the filter?
Every 2–4 weeks depending on how many pets use it and how much fur ends up in the water.
Is it actually quiet?
Yes — the pump is submerged and runs on low voltage. The main cause of a noisy fountain is a low water level, so keep it topped up above the minimum line.
How do I clean it?
Rinse the bowl and pump weekly, and deep clean the pump monthly — a cotton bud clears the impeller. The stainless bowl is dishwasher-safe.
Will my cat use it?
Most take to it within a few days. Set it up beside the old bowl rather than replacing it outright, and let them investigate in their own time.
Is it safe to leave running?
Yes — it's designed for continuous use on low voltage. Just don't let it run dry, which damages the pump.
